Kone swaps Montreal
for Hertfordshire

Norwich City away on the 2nd January will be the first time that new Watford signing Ishmael Kone will be eligible for.

Talking to Benny from Toronto's "Offside Boys" we discovered that Kone, who only started playing for Montreal in February has had a great start to his pro career having coming through a different route to the usual North American collegiate route - developing at a local youth side before getting a chance at the MLS side.

100 Years at the Vic
Game Corner flags

The 2-1 win over Middlesbrough was marked with many aspects reflecting the 100th anniversary of the first game at Vicarage Road. The players donned the Black and White striped 3rd kit and, in a lovely understated touch, the corner flags included images from each of the  of the Murwalls murals near or in the stadium.

Sir Elton, Troy, GT and Luther were selected we believe this was down to Scott Tingley and his team - so yet another well done to those guys!

Sarr & Pedro sale rumours

So as we approach silly season, we have offers and rumours of offers from other clubs for members of our forward line. Watford fans had, mostly, realised that Sarr was unlikely to stay but have reacted badly to the suggestion that the Watford hierarchy will sell our popular young Brazilian. At the time of writing Watford appear to have rejected two bids for "JP10" and it would interesting to know what those already outraged would like the hierarchy to actually do, other than that - at this point.

There will, due to Newcastle's sudden massive wealth, very possibly come an offer that the board decide is acceptable. This, we hope, would be done, with enough time to bring in, already identified replacements - that would help Rob Edwards play the system he wants to play.  We sit and watch

Kit Aid Podcast

Justin and Pete interview Derrick Williams for the podcast to get the low down on the amazing charity "Kit Aid" which recycles used football kit all over the world to areas where it's second life can make the most difference. Derrick however denies being the former Watford and England Under 21 goalkeeper from the 80's. Derick Williams (goalkeeper) has one "r" in his first name where as Derrick (Kit Aid) has 2 - clearing up this kind of confusion is what we're here for! Keinan Davis joins

Aston Villa forward Keinan Davis appears to have replaced the departed Emmanuel Dennis. On loan at Forest last season Davis already knows what it takes to secure promotion having scored 5 goals in 15 appearances. Initially on loan until the end of the season it is believed that an obligation to buy is included for figures reported between £6-15m providing the Hornets achieve promotion back to the Premier League

Emmanuel moves on

A player who seemed to polarise the Hornets supporters Emmanuel Dennis has moved on for a rumoured fee of circa £20m. After a single season at Vicarage Road which saw the Nigerian score 10 and assist 6 goals he moves to newly promoted Nottingham Forest who have certainly been splashing the cash in order to ensure that Dennis doesn't suffer a second consecutive relegation

Hamza Choudhury not as tall as you think!!!!

On the Burnley Twitter space Pete revealed that he was surprised to find out that new loan signing Hamza Choudhury is only 5'10"!!!!! The all action midfielder, who had an excellent debut praised by many of the callers on the phone in, looks much taller due to his very excellent hair moving in the opposite direction to gravity convincing Pete that he was in fact 6'4"!!!
